Job Seeker Suggestions

You may have noticed that the new TechMaine website now has its new Technology Job Board. (And, the new post-your-resume feature is now up and running.) For years, technologists have recognized the MESDA job board as an excellent resource. The TechMaine Job Board is taking up where that left off.

But this isn't all that TechMaine offers for job seekers. You can meet colleagues, talk about job opportunities, and keep up with what's new, by attending TechMaine events, including our Technology User Groups.

In almost every user group meeting recently, the after-the-meeting discussion has included some people talking with job seekers about job opportunities at their company. In some cases the discussion is about what's about to become available, but hasn't even been posted yet. You won't see that in the newspaper!

So: If you are job seeking, come to meetings, and stay for a few minutes afterward to be part of the discussion. Minimally, you'll learn something. And you might just find an avenue to the job you're looking for.
