Creative Toolbox Salon Series on Creativity : Spring 2014

The Maine Center for Creativity and Dr. Kirsten Milliken of PlayDHD will be hosting a monthly conversational salon on creativity. The salon will be an ongoing gathering for people to connect with one another, be inspired, consider new paradigms of thought and broaden their experiences through conversation.

Each month we will introduce a conversational or host a guest to discuss a topic related to creativity. Members are invited to join the conversation, introduce their ideas, keep their minds open to new perspectives, be inspired, and enjoy the company.

March 19th – What does PLAY have to do with Creativity?
Creativity and Play are both “serious business,” especially as we get older. During this salon we will discuss the elements of play and how they facilitate creativity.

April 16th – What does the UNEXPECTED have to do with Creativity?
Following in the wake of April Fool’s Day, this session will explore how doing things differently or looking through a different lens can facilitate creativity
