These skills are required:

•        Basic knowledge of TCP/IP and networking troubleshooting practices

•        Basic understanding of Active Directory, DNS, DHCP and VPN

•        Knowledge in administering and troubleshooting Windows Operating Systems, file server permissions, printer management, and event log troubleshooting

•        Experience installing, configuring, repairing, and maintaining hardware and software for network services, storage networking devices, and servers

•        Ability to communicate effectively with internal and external stakeholders at various levels

•        Self-starter who can come up to speed on various technologies and methodologies with minimal training

Any of these skills are desirable:

•        Advanced technical knowledge of Windows Server 2008/2008R2/2012/2012R2

•        Exchange Server Experience: examples include Send/Receive Connectors, adding/removing mailboxes, and troubleshooting mail flow issues

•        Office 365 experience with administration, SharePoint, Skype, OneDrive

•        SQL Server Experience: familiar with database maintenance plans (to include backups & restores) and setting up SQL jobs

•        Virtualization Experience: familiar with VMware & Microsoft Hyper-V technologies

•        Firewall Experience: familiar with installing, configuring & supporting firewalls

•        Experience with Wyse Thin Clients and management

Additional Responsibilities:

•        Participate in on-call support on a rotating schedule and for emergencies (Valid ME driver’s license in good standing)

•        Work may include pushing, pulling, or carrying objects weighing at least 25 pounds or more such as computer equipment and other materials

•        Visits to client sites for troubleshooting as necessary

•        Proactive approach to identifying solutions; taking on work that supports team goals

•        College degree or industry certifications preferred

•        Perform other duties as required
