<p>Position Summary:&nbsp;The Systems Administrator is responsible for the planning, operation and maintenance of hardware and software for servers, storage, and other system infrastructure for Maine Veterans&rsquo; Homes.</p> <p>Education/Training/Experience: Bachelor&rsquo;s degree in Computer Science or equivalent.</p> <p>Five years of Windows systems administration experience with two years of experience managing a virtualized server environment, preferably using VMware. Two years of experience managing storage area networks (SANs). Strong understanding of local and wide-area networks.</p> <p>Ability to communicate orally and in writing about technical subjects in terms that are appropriate to the audience. Strong interpersonal and communications skills, capable of acting as a vendor liaison, communicating to groups, and working closely with staff and management at all levels in the organization. Ability to handle detailed, complex concepts and problems. Ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously and to work effectively in stressful situations. Ability to prioritize requests and workload, to organize and schedule a wide variety of activities and to communicate with management and colleagues as appropriate.</p>
