Deleting Single Posts in Drupal Forums
A few weeks ago we relaunched AsMaineGoes.com as an all Drupal site. Overall I think Drupal is great. I have run into an oddity or two for which I have no answer. Maybe there are no answers. But if there is, and if someone here can solve a mystery or two - thank you in advance.
Let's use Naran's cooking thread as an example.
http://www.asmainegoes.com/content/cooking-naran
The first person to reply to Naran's first post on that thread - "Bob MacGregor" - had to reply by clicking the "Add new comment" link on the bottom left of Naran's first post. The next person to reply would click the "reply" link on the bottom left of Bob MacGregor's post. And so it goes.
Mine is the last post on page 1 of Naran's cooking thread. If I delete my post I will automatically delete every post above mine except for Naran's original post.
Does anybody have a work-around, an alternative, so that I can delete single posts without also deleting all posts preceding those single posts?
Thank you.

Hi Scott,
Just in the off chance... do you have permissions turned on for your user role for "edit any forum topic" and "edit own forum topics"?
Todd -
Thank you. I'll pass along your ideas and let you know what happens.
Joe -
Yes, I do. Thank you!
Best,
skf

Scott -- sorry to be slow responding. I replied to the email notification, and for some reason it didn't post (so now I have something to troubleshoot, too...).
Something must be wrong with your forum module or settings. I tried the same thing on our dev. site, and deleting a single reply only deletes that one reply -- not the whole thread.
A temporary solution might be to unpublish the reply that you want to get rid of, but something's not working properly.
