Now Testing: User Group Forums

Tech BLOG - What's Happening in the TechMaine User Groups and SIGS:

This week we are working on testing the new User Group Forums function (especially in the Drupal User Group area). Please feel free to "join" the online areas for any/all of the user groups you are interested in, and start test-driving the forums.

In general, here's how it works:

  • First you need to register on the site and log in (free, fast).
  • Then go to the user group page and "join" using the link in the "Group Membership" block if you haven't already done so (free, super-fast).
  • As an online user group member (meaning, you "joined") you can participate in the discussion forums, and you will receive email notifications of new posts and announcements.
  • You can manage your email options at My Account >> Notifications.

On the main page for each group you can see a summary list of new topics and new announcements. Use the menu links in the "Group Membership" block to get to the full forums and read all the topics and comments.

Note: Once you have joined, you can respond to new posts by replying to the email messages. You don't have to read and post messages on the website.

Contact us and tell us what works, what doesn't, or what's hard to use.
