Bangor Area .NET Developers Group (BAND)

The BAND is all about bringing top-quality development discussions to the Bangor area, coming together as a group of developers who want to bring the best to the table at our workplaces and in the communities in which we live, work and play.

Our monthly gigs (meetings) will talk about hot development topics such as Visual Studio 2008, Silverlight, .NET 3.5, SQL Server 2008, LINQ and so much more.  Not hype about unreleased products, and talk about vaporware, but real and practical .NET development shown and explained.  Our discussions will also cover those things that matter to you on a day-to-day basis like best practices, security, team development and test driven development.

Each month we will have time for a warm-up with pizza and casual discussions, followed by a short introduction time of group business and then a full hour main event for a featured presenter to discuss a hot topic.  And don’t forget the giveaways!  Cool swag to take home for random winners!

The dates are the 4th Tuesday of each month from 6:00-8:30 pm, and are all to be held at Harris Computer Systems unless otherwise noted. These gigs are based on your feedback and what can affect you today in a practical way! These will shift if we get a big-named speaker to come to town, but we thought it was a good idea to lay out a plan now so you can set up your calendars in advance.
