Come hang out with the Greater Portland contingent of Code for Maine and hack on civic projects with us! No technical skills necessary! Just curiosity & interest in tech, cities, civics; meet others passionate about improving civic life in Maine through new technology, and learn about some of the events and project we already have planned.

Code for Maine is the local affiliate of Code for America. Code for America enlists the talent of the web industry into public service to use their skills to solve core problems facing our communities. We help passionate technologists leverage the power of the internet to make governments more open and efficient, and become civic leaders able to realize transformational change with technology.

Code for Maine advances the mission of the parent organization by discovering, enhancing and rebuilding the proud history of participatory decision making in Maine.

We're meeting every Tuesday during Big Room Studios' Hack Portland night from 7pm.
