Why should I create an account?

TechMaine is a community site, and as such, much of our content is not developed for the general public. You can view most of the site without logging in. Once you login you should be able to go anywhere without being held up with multiple "fill this out" forms. Registering for events will be quicker plus you'll be able to track your registrations and see groups to which you belong.

This is a dynamic site and there will be significant value for logged in users. Logged  in users will have access to more content than anonymous users.

We do not and will not divulge your name and address to other companies that do not represent us and will not incessantly spam you. Our goal is to make sure that information you provide to us is kept private unless you choose to make it public.

We understand it's somewhat "unweblike" to require a login, but this site is designed to support Maine's tech community. If we discourage some trolls, that's OK.
