Any Fin is Possible- Scaling Up Maine's Aquaculture Industry: E2Tech Forum & Holiday Reception

4:30 – 6:00 p.m. Aquaculture Forum

6:00 – 7:30 p.m. Holiday Networking Reception

Maine is known world-wide for its lobster and fishing industry, its aquaculture industry is growing, and its products will be increasingly in demand as the world’s appetite for sustainable seafood intensifies. Maine companies are applying innovative methods to the cultivation of fish, shellfish, and aquatic plants and coastal communities are engaged in the active management of these resources. According to the Maine Aquaculture Association, our state is one of the leading producers of farm-raised marine seafood in the country, including salmon, oysters, and mussels.

Come learn about this vital industry that is continuously striving to achieve long-term economic viability with new, environmentally sustainable methods of producing seafood for domestic consumption and global exports.

Also, join us for our annual holiday reception at one of the coolest marine research facilities in the country – the Gulf of Maine Research Institute!
