The event will be on Wednesday, August 24, 2016 from 4:30pm to 6:30pm at at Bruno's Tavern and Restaurant, 33 Allen Avenue, Portland, Maine
The evening will feature a brief "Tech Spotlight" presentation on "Open Source Network Monitoring.”
Jim Troutman, an independent IT consultant with 30 years in the industry will discuss his experience with specific open source/libre software tools which can be managed in-house at minimal cost.
MTUG will also highlight the upcoming season of informative educational webinars and Peers & Beers events that run from fall through spring, and focus on a variety of business technology topics.
MTUG’s Peers and Beers events are a chance for IT professionals and enthusiasts to network in an informal setting while learning about a unique technology topic. There are usually three held each -- two in the fall and one in the spring.
