WordCamp Portland, ME

Portland, Maine: May 26 & 27th, at the Maine College of Art Campus. WordCamp Portland, ME is returning for its 4th year In Portland. This two-day conference will feature talks, demonstrations, and workshops centered around the popular web content management system WordPress. With plenty of useful information for everyone from novice bloggers, to experienced coders, to small-business owners trying to maximize their online presence. Tickets start at $10, and admission for both days is only $30, which includes lunch and an after-party, making WordCamp a uniquely affordable opportunity for both education and networking.

 

The keynote speaker this year will be K. Adam White, a Senior Engineer at Bocoup, an open source technology consultancy in Boston, Massachusetts. White currently trains teams, writes web applications, contributes to open-source projects, and evangelizes the web as an open platform for technology and collaboration. K. Adam is also a WordPress core contributor and the Design Lead for the WordPress REST API. He will be talking about the ways that open source software democratizes the web, and how WordPress can continue to leverage its diverse community to build platform that is truly for everyone.

WordCamp Portland, ME always features a mix of local and national speakers, and this years event will feature workshops on content creation, search engine optimization, website accessibility, website design, and more!
