Writing a Business Plan Narrative

A business plan precisely defines your business, identifies your goals and serves as your company's resume. Learn how to prepare the narrative portion of a Business Plan, including understanding each section that should be included, and identifying resources for gathering information to support the business plan.

The real value of creating a business plan is not simply having the finished product in hand. The value lies in the process of researching and analyzing your business is a systematic way.  The act of planning helps you think through your assumptions as you develop the following sections:

Josh Saunders currently works with a variety of businesses, utilizing his experiences in operations and executive level management to help them to identify, explore and capitalize on new opportunities, while optimizing current processes.  Josh has served as the Senior Operations Director for a national engineering firm, led the sales and marketing efforts of a regional modular home builder and served as President of a multi-million dollar wood products manufacturer.  Josh has also counseled small business and entrepreneurs both as a SCORE volunteer and a full-time counselor with the Maine Small Business Development Centers.
