After nearly ten years of providing exceptional computer repair service in Rockland, Computer Solutions is adding another location in Camden. Beginning September 1st Camden residents and business owners will have the convenience of a locally owned computer repair shop, staffed with knowledgeable people they can trust, to keep their technology up and running. The new location at 56 Elm Street, right next to the Montessori School, is just close enough to town to be convenient, but has the benefit of not being in the congestion of Main Street. There is even a couple of parking spaces off the street for customers dropping off or picking up.
“We already have a significant number of customers in Camden” says owner Todd Gustafson from Rockland. “We just decided it was the right time to make it a little more convenient for those customers to get the service they need. Part of my life growing up was spent riding a bicycle around the streets of Camden. My first job was working at the Waterfront Restaurant. I am excited to be able to bring something back to that community."
What services will the new location provide?
“The new location will provide all the same great computer repair services as the Rockland location by technicians certified in both PCs and Apple computers. Those services currently include: computer hardware repairs, software installations, virus removal, wireless and wired network setup and troubleshooting, computer upgrades and data transfer, small business network and IT Support and small business regular IT maintenance plans, and more. Those services are not just in the repair shop, but a technician or Small Business Support Specialist will also come to your location if needed."
Will the new location have retail computer sales?
“We can special order almost anything, but we don’t stock retail inventory. We do that because we want to be able to give the customer options for replacing a computer or repairing it without the potential pressure from having to move inventory. Technology products are outdated almost before they hit the shelf. I don’t want one of my team to feel conflicted between recommending a customer repair a computer or recommending they purchase one we have sitting in a showroom that we need to move so we can get a new model in. If a customer wants a new computer, we like to talk with them first about how they use the machine now, and what they intend to use it for in the future. By doing so we can ensure the machine the customer purchases is what they want and/or need to buy, and not what we want and/or need to sell.”
Do you repair PCs or Apple Computers or both? And for just individuals or business, too?
“If you are an individual with a Mac or a PC, or a business person with a laptop, or a small business with dozens of workstations… we can help.” Says Todd. “I work really hard to make sure the team at Computer Solutions is staffed with knowledgeable and helpful people that are trained in both PC and Apple computers. Our mission is to bridge the gap between people and technology. You can’t do that without a solid staff of exceptional people… and we’re looking to add more customer service and repair technicians to the ranks. We’re looking for the right people who are great with computers, but even better working with people.”
